Decent action flick – much closer to “Heat” than the critics would have you believe. There have been much worse Statham films.

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (2012) 60%
It looks good enough, but for anyone who has read the book, much of the film seems like filler. Profit notwithstanding, they should have just made one four-hour movie, rather than a trilogy.
Django Unchained (2012) 70%
Emotionally satisfying.
Life of Pi (2012) 70%
Decent. I am afraid that watching the movie has ruined me for the book, which is likely better.
The Mechanic (2011) 50%
Average Jason Statham action movie. Both he and Ben Foster deserve starring roles in better films.
Rob Roy (1995) 60%
Dark-edged historical action epic.
Ratatouille (2007) – 80%
Typical Pixar quality.
Lincoln (2012) 80%
The film holds remarkable interest despite a lack of action sequences. As long as the same cast and screenwriter were involved, you get the impression that the film could go on for 4, 6, 8 hours without suffering. In fact, you may wish for that, as the scope is limited to a fraction of what A. Lincoln influenced.
The Five-Year Engagement (2012) 60%
Might not be a good movie, but multiple laughs are worth this amount.
Water for Elephants (2011) 40%
Pah. It’s a movie for women in the same way that Blue’s Clues is a show for children – difficult to watch for anyone else.
