Snail-paced mystery.
Month: December 2014
3 Days To Kill (2014) 50%
Uneven, like so many euro-thrillers.
300: Rise of an Empire (2014) 30%
At the vanguard for innovation in blood splatter and ab muscle shadow CGI. Any legitimate bodybuilder not offered a bit part in this should feel slighted.
Captain Phillips (2013) 70%
Seemed quite realistic, but how the hell would I know. I mow all the khat that grows in my yard.
Enemy (2014) 90%
Masterful story and impeccably acted. A review filled with spoilers probably wouldn’t even ruin it, as the movie demands more than just a viewing.
The Limey (1999) 50%
Artfully-made, but it didn’t interest much.
P-51 Dragon Fighter (2014) 30%
Micro-budgeted creature feature.
Life and Adventures of Santa Claus (1985) 50%
Probably the pinnacle of Rankin/Bass stop-motion technical proficiency, but the L. Frank Baum story is (predictably) pretty far out there.
Leprechaun’s Christmas Gold (1981) 40%
Not quite up to the standard of other Rankin/Bass.
The LEGO Movie (2014) 70%
Hard not to like this, no matter your age.
